Utah County told me that the 2010 Property Tax notices are being mailed today, so you should be receiving them tomorrow or early next week.

But the 2010 valuations are already available on line here:

http://www.utahcountyonline.org/LandRecords/Index.asp

My home in Cedar Hills dropped another 16.3% in 2010. I was certain they wouldn't drop the valuation enough, and was getting ready to challenge it. But I think the valuation of my home is about right. And the valuation of my home has dropped a whopping 36% in the last two years. It is nice to see a lower valuation for property tax purposes, but still somewhat frightening to realize how much value I've lost recently.

Mine dropped 10% from last year. However, I just had an appraisal done 2 weeks ago that was 13% higher than what the county tax valuation is showing. The appraisal had all good comparision properties from recently sold homes in Cedar Hills. I even think the appraisal could have been higher because the appraiser messed up the measurements of my house and was short about 400 sqft.

reedcor? You're not thinking about moving, I hope? To be clear, I will not tolerate it if you try to move. You must stay! smile

According to my wife are not moving - ever. She says after what we went through to build this house we are going to die here. We are just refinancing - couldn't pass up the crazy low rates.
